Experience our intelligent robotics for metalworking at AMB 2024

From September 10 to 14, 2024, everything at AMB in Stuttgart will revolve around metalworking. At Booth C71 in Hall 6, KUKA will be demonstrating how easy it is to integrate robots with our KUKA.PLC mxAutomation software, and how mobile robotics keeps things moving – true to the motto "Industrial Intelligence_your World of Automation".

Your machine tools at a new level

The shortage of skilled workers is becoming increasingly apparent. Automation can provide relief in metalworking and reduce labor throughout the entire process: During pallet loading and unloading, transport to the processing machine, processing and deburring.

The Mobility Area: from deburring to transportation

In the Mobility Area, KUKA and partners will be demonstrating how the interaction of robotics and machine tools is advancing metalworking. On the compact KR IONTEC 50, WMS-Engineering GmbH will be demonstrating the automated deburring of components, while the MAIROFlex CYBERTECH from MAIROTEC makes no secret of the fact that it is a multifunctional robot. In addition to quality control, it masters bin picking with its usual high level of performance. To do this, the robot picks components from a box in order to feed them for further processing.
The KMP 1500P is an autonomous mobile robot that transports parts independently within production.
In cooperation with BEC GmbH, trade fair visitors can experience the automatic tool change on the KMR iisy. Another transport professional will be on site, too: the KMP 1500P, an autonomous mobile platform, reliably transports material from A to B.
The KR FORTEC ultra offers maximum performance in the smallest of spaces for metalworking.

More powerful robots: the right solution for every need

KUKA is also bringing three other powerful robots to Stuttgart: The KR QUANTEC is robust and flexible – whether for palletizing or assembly, this robot uses its power variably. The KR FORTEC ultra is compact and extremely efficient. It provides machine tools with a powerful helping hand. And the KR AGILUS, the versatile six-axis robot for metalworking, achieves the highest operating speeds in the smallest of spaces.

Easy to use: software for fast integration and monitoring

Intuitive, fast and smooth: this is how KUKA robotic solutions can be integrated with the KUKA.PLC mxAutomation software. Thanks to the interface, the robots can be programmed and operated in the familiar control environment. This is used for example by HEIDENHAIN, a manufacturer of measurement and control technology based in Traunreut. They have connected it to the software interface of its TNC7 CNC controller. “This makes it much easier to operate the robot. It is now possible to manually control both the robot and the machine tool on a single piece of hardware,” says HEIDENHAIN.
The relevant data of all the customer’s KUKA robots are centrally displayed on a dashboard.
The intelligent KUKA iiQoT software platform facilitates data-based automation during operation. Information on system management, maintenance, fault detection and condition monitoring are bundled there. The data is then displayed in a clear and user-friendly dashboard.

Experience KUKA live at the AMB

Visit us at the AMB 2024 at Messe Stuttgart! We look forward to meeting you at Booth C71 in Hall 6 between September 10 and 14, 2024.

Customer Journey: join us on a robotics journey

Visitors to the trade fair will be able to see KUKA's comprehensive product and service portfolio, which provides customers with optimum support in all life cycle phases of their systems – from planning and commissioning to service and second life. The KUKA Customer Service Team, which provides support with system planning and advice on maintenance and service packages, will be on hand at the booth.
With augmented reality (AR), you can commission your new robot intuitively and quickly via the app.
