Die KUKA Roboter GmbH erhält einen Auftrag von der WMF AG

Geislingen/Augsburg, April 2011 – Die KUKA Roboter GmbH beliefert die Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik Aktiengesellschaft mit der neuen Robotergeneration KR QUANTEC. Die Roboter werden von WMF für eine neue Produktionslinie am Standort Geislingen an der Steige zum Schleifen und Polieren von Kochgeschirr eingesetzt.

WMF wird in Zukunft mit den KUKA Robotern vom Typ KR QUANTEC KR 180 R2500 arbeiten. Bestmögliche Prozesskräfte und das optimale Bahnverhalten ließen die Wahl von WMF auf KUKA Roboter fallen. Die bereits vor Monaten getroffene Entscheidung im Hause WMF, die Kochgeschirrproduktion am Standort Deutschland auszubauen, wird durch diese Investition untermauert.

Filigrane Hand für feineres Arbeiten: Die Quantec Serie

Die Roboter der KR QUANTEC Serie sind die Kompaktesten ihrer Klasse – bei höchster Leistungsdichte. Sie brauchen weniger Platz und führen zu weit mehr Einsatzmöglichkeiten in der Produktion – selbst in beengten Räumen. Leichtere Bauteile erreichen höhere Dynamik, noch kürzere Taktzeiten und sind gleichzeitig dennoch steifer.

Die KR QUANTEC Roboter bieten eine filigrane Hand für feine Arbeiten wie es für das Schleifen und Polieren der hochqualitativen Produkte des Traditionshauses WMF von Nöten ist. Neben diesen konstruktiven Vorteilen überzeugt außerdem die neue Robotersteuerung KR C4.
