Experience our intelligent robotics for metalworking at AMB 2024

When decision-makers from all over Europe flock to the leading metalworking trade fair AMB from September 10 to 14, 2024, KUKA will be right in the middle of it all. True to our motto "Industrial Intelligence_your World of Automation", we will be demonstrating at the trade fair in Stuttgart how easy it is to integrate robots with our KUKA.PLC mxAutomation software, and how mobile robotics keeps things moving. You can also see how our complete solutions automate and optimize the entire machine tool production process.

Your machine tools at a new level

Your order volume would allow for a higher turnover, but you lack the manpower? At stand C71 in hall 6, we will be demonstrating how automation can reduce the workload along the entire process: During pallet loading and unloading, transport to the processing machine, processing and deburring.

In the Mobility Area, KUKA and partners will be demonstrating how the interaction between robotics and machine tools is advancing metalworking. On the compact KR IONTEC 50, WMS-Engineering GmbH will be demonstrating the automated deburring of components, while the MAIROFlex CYBERTECH from MAIROTEC makes no secret of the fact that it is the multifunctional robot. In addition to quality control, it masters bin picking with its usual high level of performance. To do this, the robot picks components from a box in order to feed them for further processing.

The KMP 1500P is an autonomous mobile robot that transports parts independently within production.

In cooperation with BEC GmbH trade fair visitors can experience the automatic tool change on the KMR iisy. Another transport professional will be on site: the KMP 1500P, an autonomous mobile platform, reliably transports material from A to B. And best of all, every KUKA robotic solution is easy to use – i.e. quick and simple to implement in different production environments. This is ensured by the KUKA.PLC mxAutomation interface. For example, HEIDENHAIN, a manufacturer of measurement and control technology based in Traunreut, has connected it to the software interface of its TNC7 CNC controller. “This makes it much easier to operate the robot. It is now possible to manually control both the robot and the machine tool on a single piece of hardware,” says HEIDENHAIN.

The KR FORTEC ultra offers maximum performance in the smallest of spaces for metalworking.

KUKA Highlights at the AMB 2024

  • The robots for every situation

    • The big one: The KR QUANTEC is robust and flexible. Whether in pallet handling or assembly, this robot has plenty of power.
    • The dynamic one: Compact and highly efficient, the KR FORTEC ultra is the allrounder for your machine tools.
    • The agile one: The KR AGILUS, our versatile six-axis robot for metalworking, achieves the highest working speeds in the smallest of spaces.
  • Software: easy to use

    • Intuitive, fast and seamless: This is how you integrate our robotics solutions with KUKA.PLC mxAutomation. The interface allows you to program and operate our ro-bots in your familiar control environment.
  • Networking through digitalization

    • KUKA.MixedReality: It has never been so easy to integrate a robot into production. Thanks to augmented reality (AR), you can commission the new robot quickly and safely in the App KUKA.MixedReality.
    • KUKA iiQoT: The intelligente Software-Platform facilitates data-based automation for your company. The platform bundles information on system management, maintenance, fault detection and condition monitoring and displays it clearly in a dashboard.

Customer journey: join us on a robotics journey

We will be presenting trade fair visitors the comprehensive KUKA product and service portolio, with which we optimally support our customers in all life cycle phases of their systems – from planning and commissioning to service and second life. Our KUKA Customer Service Team will be on hand at the booth to help you plan your system and advise you on maintenance and service packages.
With augmented reality (AR), you can commission your new robot intuitively and quickly via the app.

At this year's AMB, KUKA will be demonstrating how robotics can be used to optimize the entire production process of machine tools. Robot integration is particularly fast and easy with our software. We will also show you how our autonomous mobile platforms take over the automated transport of parts. Join us on a journey into the robotic world of metalworking!
