17 goals for sustainability: the UN Sustainable Development Goals
In 2015, the United Nations adopted 17 goals for sustainable development. The Sustainable Development Goals cover topics such as combating poverty and hunger, improving health and education, clean and affordable energy, environmental protection, and the fight against climate change. The SDGs are the centerpiece of the “Agenda 2030”, a common concept for peace and prosperity and a call to all countries. The development of the SDGs is regularly monitored by the UN.
