Certification kit for faster approval of healthcare applications

The LBR Med collaborative robot is certified according to the internationally recognized "IECEE CB Scheme". This means that its hardware and software have been tested and approved according to IEC 60601-1 for electrical safety and IEC 62304 for software development. The certification was performed by an accredited test center. This enables both the integration of the cobot into a medical device and an accelerated market approval of the final medical device. Related documents and information on how to collaborate with our cobots are available in the KUKA Xpert and Download Center.

The IECEE CB process simplifies the global certification of medical devices.

Robotic arms with state-of-the-art technology: A win for healthcare automation

The Cobot LBR Med is the ideal product for medical robot manufacturers when it comes to the interaction between the robot, the surgical staff and the patient. In addition, the operating system with its various option packages allows the implementation of many different applications for hospital use.

Promising: LBR Med Design and Construction

Lightweight

The LBR Med collaborative robot is a prime example of innovation in healthcare. With a weight of only 25.5 or 32.3 kg per variant, it sets new standards. The ease of use and optional cart mobility of the LBR Med allows medical device manufacturers to develop a robotic medical device that serves as an ideal assistant for surgeons and their patients.

Wide variety of applications

With its versatile media flange kit, the LBR Med cobot can be used for many medical applications, such as a surgical robot in a hospital. The internal cable routing for power and data transmission makes setup particularly easy. This typically eliminates the need for additional cables.

Robust cleanliness

The surface of the lightweight robot is not only easy to clean, making it ideal for clinical environments. The paint is also highly resistant to damage from disinfection. As a result, it meets the hygienic requirements of, for example, a surgical robot in a hospital operating room.

Attractive design

The bionic shape and clean, smooth surface of the Cobot LBR Med make it unique. The robot's aesthetic appearance resembles a human arm and blends harmoniously into any treatment room.
