KR FORTEC

The KR FORTEC is our all-rounder among the heavy-duty robots. It is energy-efficient and dynamic for handling applications in the heavy payload range up to 500 kg. Thanks to its use of our well-known industrial robot concepts, it requires little maintenance when in operation. This gives the robot a high reliability factor in your production.


Big on handling, cost-efficient in operation

The new KR FORTEC can be expanded flexibly, is economical in its energy consumption and requires little maintenance. With its payload capacity, the robot fits seamlessly in between the KR QUANTEC and the KR FORTEC Ultra – thus rounding out KUKA’s portfolio. It is predestined for use in the automotive industry and the general industry sector. Thanks to the KR FORTEC, you can standardize your production processes at a high quality level through the use of automated handling. The low total cost of ownership (TCO) of the robot also contributes to the cost-effectiveness of your production processes.

Installation-friendly cable routing

The hollow shaft ensures simple and safe integration of the customer-specific energy supply system. If repair work is required on this component, it can be carried out at a height that is comfortable and installation-friendly. 

Use in different environments

As a foundry variant, the KR FORTEC can be used for heavy-duty tasks in harsh environments.

Extended temperature range

Robots sometimes have to work at very low temperatures. The KR FORTEC can be operated between 0 to 55 degrees Celsius.

Leak-tightness

As already known from the KR QUANTEC and KR FORTEC Ultra, the wrist on the KR FORTEC is also waterproof and dustproof as standard.

Greater reach: the KR FORTEC with linear axis 

Would you like your KR FORTEC to work within a larger radius? No problem. The KL 4000 linear unit extends the working range of the robot. The reach can be modularly adjusted from 1.5 m to 30 m to meet customer requirements. A further advantage for your production: The KR QUANTEC also fits on the KL 4000. If you require the KR FORTEC and KR FORTEC Ultra on a shared linear unit, select the KL 5000.
