The name iiQKA is comprised of three components: ii, IQ, and QKA.

The LBR iisy robot comes in three variations. LBR stands for "Leichtbauroboter" (German for lightweight robot). The ii in iisy stands for industrial intelligence, and iisy represents the English word "easy" because the robot is so simple to use. The following number represents the payload of the robot arm in kilograms. For instance, the LBR iisy 15 has a 15 kg payload. The last part of the name denotes the reach of the robot arm in millimeters. For instance, R930 has a reach of 930 mm.
