KUKA wins major automotive contract in the mid-double-digit euro range
The Robotics division has received a new contract from a European vehicle manufacturer. The order value lies in the mid-double-digit euro range and was booked in the third and fourth quarters of 2016.

Augsburg, 9 November 2016 – The premium car manufacturer further committed to quality technology products from Augsburg and awarded KUKA a contract for the supply of roughly 1,200 industrial robots of the KR QUANTEC generation, including the KR C4 controller, and additional robots from the KR FORTEC heavy-duty series. The robots will primarily carry out welding and handling tasks for body-in-white production in the manufacture of a vehicle series on the American market.
