Think global, act local: Robotics Park in Shunde
One of three large KUKA subsidiaries in China is located in the south of the country. On 280,000 square meters there are also specific products for the Asian market produced.
KUKA's international alignment is an important success factor. This includes successful business in North America as well as in Europe and China. In order to be able to act closely with customers in the various markets, the principle of think global, act local applies.
In 2019, the KUKA Shunde Industrial Park was put into operation. In 2020, an additional global R&D center for mobile platforms opened.
KUKA Robotics, KUKA Logistics Automation (Swisslog/Logistics), KUKA Industrial Automation (General Industry), KUKA Systems (Automotive) and Swisslog Healthcare will be represented on site.
KUKA now has around 2,000 colleagues in China. In addition to Shanghai and Kunshan, Shunde is the third major local subsidiary. In addition to the regular portfolio, specific products for the Asian market, such as mobile robotics, are also produced there.
Furthermore, local customers are offered connectivity software or services such as customer platforms.
And of course the KUKAns in China also celebrated KUKA's 125th birthday this year.
