European Robotics Week: KUKA explains the World of Robotics

At the Europe-wide theme week from 14 to 25 November 2019, KUKA will be providing insights into the world of robotics. Interested adults will learn more about Industry 4.0 and, above all, children and young people will be inspired by the future topics of robotics and automation.

Why do we need robots? What can they do and where are they used? KUKA answers these questions at various events during the European Robotics Week (ERW). School classes will be guests at KUKA in Augsburg and get to know fascinating future technologies. In addition, employees will visit kindergartens and primary schools in the surrounding area in order to arouse the interest of even the youngest ones in robotics.

An Invention Changes the World: Painting Competition for Children

Until 25 November, all creative minds can paint and send their ideas on the topic "Robot, spaceship, rain machine: Which invention would you use to change the world?" If you are interested in participating, please contact ERW@kuka.com to get more details.

Lecture by Dr. Christian Liedtke on "The Truth about Industry 4.0"

KUKA invites interested adults to a lecture at the Augsburg corporate headquarters. Dr. Christian Liedtke from KUKA will talk about "Industry 4.0" - the next stage of the industrial revolution - which has been shaping industrial events for eight years now. The understanding of what lies behind this ranges from very individual definitions to nebulous ideas.

In his lecture, Dr. Liedtke explains the actual feasibility, clears up myths and explains what "Industry 4.0" really means. Where are the roots? What can really be achieved with it? But where are the limits? What are the short-, medium- and long-term perspectives in the field of digitization?

On Monday, November 18 at 6 p.m. the lecture „The Truth about Industry 4.0“ will take place at the KUKA Development and Technology Centre, Zugspitzstr. 140, 86165 Augsburg statt.

Visitor parking spaces are available in the parking building. Please note that all events are in German.
