Following training as an industrial clerk at Siemens, he studied Information Technology at the Technical University of Munich. He then obtained an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen.

Before joining BMI Lab, Georg von der Ropp held various management positions at Capgemini Deutschland, most recently as Vice President in the CTO field, focusing on digital transformation and cooperation with start-ups. His current position is Partner Advisory BMI Lab AG and Managing Partner BMI Lab. His many years of experience in major companies and in the IT and consultancy sector enable Georg von der Ropp to recognize and successfully overcome the hurdles that the renewal and transformation of companies entail.

Following successful completion of his master’s degree in industrial engineering at the Technical University of Dresden in 2013, Robert Kamischke became Management Assistant at KUKA Systems. In his role as Coordination Manager Industrie 4.0, he has had the opportunity to increase his expertise in the field of Industrie 4.0 continuously since 2016. 

As Vice President Business Unit Smart Production I4.0, he is currently responsible for all measures leading in the direction of smart production and digitization. In the development of his business unit, he also benefits from the experience he gained from the establishment of a student start-up. In his current strategic considerations, the primary focus is on the development and establishment of new business models in the age of digital production, as new technologies alone do not lead to added value for customers.
