Growing trend towards automation in the Baltics - KUKA is growing in the Baltic region

Strong market demand and a growing market share has led to a sharp increase in the number of KUKA robots in the Baltics in recent years. KUKA Nordic is now strengthening its customer service staff in the region. - The initiative is about always wanting to be in line with our customers and their needs, says Elin Hybert, customer service manager at KUKA Nordic.

Increased demand for the aftermarket

For the past two years, KUKA Nordic has had Dalius Grakavinas in place in the Baltics, country manager responsible for Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. From his office in Vilnius, he has worked the Baltic market.
- "He has done a very good job, and now we are starting to notice that demand in the aftermarket is increasing there," says Elin Hybert. So far, this has been solved by technicians from Sweden and other markets covering the region. - But now it's time to take it a step further, says Elin Hybert.
That's why technician Dovydas Raciunas has been hired, based in the Vilnius office. Dovydas Raciunas, 34, with a master's degree in control technology and a bachelor's degree in robotics and automation, has a solid skill set for the job. In his previous career as a technician and team leader, he has worked hands-on with automation, including a lot with KUKA equipment. Now he is looking forward to taking on a new role. - "It will be great fun. During the spring and summer I've spent a lot of time at KUKA Nordic's office in Gothenburg to get to know how the company works. But in the autumn I'll be in full swing at home," he says.

The share of robots is growing

The country manager Dalius Grakavinas is also pleased with the new acquisition. - "Having a top-class aftermarket in the local automation ecosystem is crucial for us. Our offer is strengthened. At the same time, it shows our attitude of thinking globally but acting locally," he says.
Now, the expanded Baltic team will continue to work to increase the share of robots in the region.

-The demand for automation is growing every year here in the Baltics, and I see great potential for us to gain market share,

Dalius Grakavinas, Country Manager Baltics
