“Keep on Moving!” KUKA at automatica 2023
With KUKA, automation is becoming easily available for more and more industries and fields of application. At automatica 2023, under the motto "Keep on Moving", KUKA will show how robots and system concepts are evolving to leave a lasting mark on a changing world.
KUKA brings production systems to the booth
Experience large production systems virtually
For the first time, KUKA is bringing all its know-how from plant construction to the trade fair floor. Travel virtually to Toledo Ohio, to the KUKA Toledo Production Operations (KTPO) and experience state-of-the-art battery production. Or meet us in a brand new facility in United Kingdom for automated modular house construction.

Robots for the People
Under the motto "Robots for the People", KUKA makes automation intuitive and easy for everyone. Whether you are a small business or a large corporation, an automation expert or a beginner - with the flexible and easy-to-use Cobot LBR iisy, the iiQKA.OS operating system and the digital ecosystem Robotic Republic, automation is "iisy". At automatica 2023, KUKA will show all cobots of the LBR iisy series - from 3 to 15 kg payload. Visitors can either see the cobot live in action in moving applications or, alternatively, get hands-on with the hand-guided and programmable examples.
Automation is part of our DNA
Automation has always been the driving force behind KUKA. Together with our customers and partners, we are shaping the (working) world of tomorrow. Integrated automation is a driver of success in increasingly agile and competitive markets and business fields. KUKA takes integrated automation a step further - because in addition to bringing together different automation technologies, KUKA offers everything from a single source: robotics, automation technology, software and project management. KUKA already offers automation solutions in the areas of sustainable energy and decarbonization, and is thus working with customers to answer the pressing questions of our time. Solutions such as modern battery production, flexible car body construction in the "Pay on Production" model and the production of houses in the factory can be experienced in the KUKA Dome.
Mobility solutions for Industry 4.0
One of the most important drivers of Industry 4.0 is mobile robots. With autonomous mobility solutions, KUKA offers customers the chance to take their industrial production to the next level in terms of flexibility. KUKA distinguishes between mobile platforms, which enable high-precision transport even for the heaviest loads, and mobile robots, which combine platform and robot arm. Visitors to automatica 2023 can get to know two brand-new products at the KUKA booth: the mobile, MRC-capable robot KMR iisy and the mobile platform KMP 1500 P.
Sustainability at KUKA
Sustainable thinking and action among industrial companies has long since ceased to be a trend, but rather a basic prerequisite for remaining competitive. KUKA is continuously optimizing its own portfolio to enable customers to achieve greater sustainability through the use of KUKA products. This begins with the energy efficiency of KUKA robots, continues with automated complete solutions for sustainable electromobility and extends to automated systems for resource-saving modular house construction. At automatica, KUKA is exhibiting the KR QUANTEC (topic energy efficiency), a from-cell-to-pack application with KR SCARA, KR CYBERTECH and KR FORTEC (topic e-mobility/battery handling) and the KUKA Dome (topic modular house construction).
A journey through KUKA's digital world
From initial information to configuration and maintenance of their own automation solution - on their journey through the orange world of KUKA, customers are accompanied by software products, digital services and offerings. At automatica 2023, visitors can get an overview at the KUKA booth: How does the Robot Guide integrated on the KUKA website help me define my own requirements? How do I simulate smooth operation of my cell with KUKA.Sim? And how can I use iiQoT to maintain an application, such as the bin-picking cell exhibited at automatica, in the best possible way using current performance data?
KUKA Innovation Award 2023
For the first time, the KUKA Innovation Award 2023 is based on our operating system iiQKA.OS and the associated ecosystem, the Robotic Republic. The young research teams from Germany, Austria and Italy spent a year working out their ideas for the "KUKA Open Platform Challenge" with the KUKA Cobot LBR iisy. Click here to find out more.
