KUKA at MEDICA 2022
We look forward to welcoming you to MEDICA 2022. From November 14 to 17, KUKA will present innovative robotic-based applications in healthcare. Visit us in Hall 10 at our booth A22 and talk to our experts on site.
Innovative robotic-based assistance systems in medical technology
How can we best accompany our customers in medical technology on their way to an innovative future? KUKA is adressing this question and presenting a wide variety of possible applications utilizing the LBR Med robotic platform at MEDICA, the world's largest medical technology fair. This can support and assist physicians and clinical staff to provide better care for patients. The basis of this robotic-based assistence systems is the seven-axis lightweight robot LBR Med.
New software generation KUKA Sunrise.OS Med 2.6
The focus at MEDICA 2022 will also be on the new software generation KUKA Sunrise.OS Med 2.6
LBR Med medical robotics feature demo with its new software generation
At the medical feature demo cell, trade fair visitors can experience out the new software generation, KUKA Sunrise.OS Med 2.6. New option packages allow, for example, for more precise hand guiding or for high rigidity of the robot, e.g. in orthopedic interventions. For real-time communication with the robot controller, the option package KUKA Sunrise.FRI Med is available.
Robotic-based hair transplantation with ARTAS iX™
The ARTAS iX™ hair transplantation robot from Venus Concept is one of the highlights at MEDICA. The integrated LBR Med enables high repeatability and consistent quality to remove thousands of individual hair follicles from the back of the head and implant them in bald spots in the front scalp.
Deep relaxation with the robot massage from Capsix Robotics
Capsix Robotics will show the world's first massage device based on the LBR Med platform. The iYU Massage Pro offers an individualized, pleasant and safe massage that trade show visitors can experience at MEDICA 2022. By the way: in 2019 Capsix Robotics was a finalist of our Innovation Award.
Precision and safety in biopsies with NDI and MPE
In a demo cell, we show how the LBR Med can assist in the biopsy of a brain tumor. A biopsy is simulated on a model with real-time tracking using cameras from the company NDI. The LBR Med is mounted on a cart from the company MPE. The robot-based showcase application enables a more precise and thus safer procedure. KUKA is not intending to develop a medical product.
Experience the LBR Med live at MEDICA
The LBR Med was certified as the world's first robot for integration into medical devices. Due to its sensitive sensor technology, the comprehensive safety packages, the hygiene-optimized surface and the certification according to the internationally recognized IECEE CB Scheme, medical device manufacturers rely on the LBR Med. At MEDICA, we will introduce some of our customers and their products.
