Counterbalancing system service bundles

With the KUKA counterbalancing system replacement concept, you can ensure maximum availability for your production system – with attractive terms. For KUKA robots with hydropneumatic counterbalancing systems.

KUKA recommends replacing the entire counterbalancing system every 10 years.

A counterbalance is an assembly that is installed between the rotating column and the link arm and balances the torques around axis 2 when the robot is stationary and in motion. A self-contained hydropneumatic system – the counterbalancing system – is used for this purpose. 
  • In contrast to stationary pressure vessels, counterbalancing systems are subject to constant dynamic loads.
  • Over the course of its service life, this leads to wear on the individual system components such as bearings, cylinders, seals, bellows, etc.
