AI-driven simulation in focus - KUKA Nordic comes to SMART industri

Lillestrøm and SMART industri - one of Norway's most important industrial trade fairs - will be one of the stops on KUKA Nordic's exhibition programme for 2025. - ‘The country is a fast-growing market for us,’ says Micael Amandusson, channel manager at KUKA Nordic.

Previously known simply as the Technical Fair, it was founded in 1951 by the Norwegian Machinery Wholesalers' Association (MGF). But in the mid-2010s, MGF felt it was time to revitalise the venue and bring in a broader representation of industries and technologies.
- ‘We were there three years ago and it was a great concept,’ says Micael Amandusson. Since then, SMART Industry has grown almost exponentially - ‘This year it's about twice as big,’ he says.

KUKA.Sim equipped with AI

In Lilleström, KUKA Nordic will exhibit together with three system partners: Intek Engineering AS, ITO Pallpack AS and Viddal Automation AS. Several other partners will also exhibit, but in their own stands. KUKA Nordic will showcase the new version of the simulation software KUKA.Sim (4.1), which this summer will also be offered to customers equipped with AI. The combination makes it possible to build a robot cell in just a few hours,’ says Micael Amandusson.

AMR (Automated Mobile Robots)

KUKA Nordic will also be showing one of its AMRs, the KMP 1500, which has the capacity to carry loads of up to one and a half tonnes. The company's new SCARA robot with a maximum load of 60 kilos is also in focus at the fair. ‘Norway is generally an important market for the company. - ‘We are doing well in Norway and SMART industri is an important end customer fair. Our Norwegian customers are also generally exciting to work with. They often involve very advanced solutions,’ says Micael Amandusson.
