How KUKA Nordic will take even more market share- recruits AI expertise for sales work
New times call for new methods, and now KUKA Nordic is strengthening its marketing department with a specialist in digitalisation and how to use AI as a tool to find leads.- ‘The traditional approach is to go to trade fairs and follow up contacts when you get home, but with AI services you can analyse in new ways,’ says Nicolas Franck, business performance and digitalisation specialist at KUKA Nordic.

Educated at Chalmers
He is educated in civil engineering at Chalmers University of Technology. But after a period at a major consulting company, Nicolas Franck ended up in the chemical industry. - ‘There I worked with customer service and sales support, and then I became interested in processes and functions around those things. I found the same passion in it that I previously had for civil engineering,’ he says.
KUKA Nordic was seeking expertise
He also got into project management, supply chains and marketing, and furthered his education in improvement processes such as Six Sigma and Lean.
But last autumn, a recruitment agency suddenly contacted him via LinkedIn. His skills and experience clicked perfectly into the boxes of the position for which KUKA Nordic was seeking expertise, and shortly after the turn of the year he started with a new employer. - ‘I already have five different projects underway that I'm working on,’ he says.
This includes analysing KUKA Nordic's marketing system and the like to find new ideas. For this, Nicolas Franck will use several tools, one of which is AI.- ‘It's about streamlining processes. With automation, we can get more out of our digital systems.

But what do you know about robots?
- So far, I've only been here a couple of weeks, and robots are new to me. The one I have the most experience with is probably the robot vacuum cleaner at home. But soon, of course, I will know much, much more about KUKA machines, software and technologies. I'm looking forward to it.
What do you do in your spare time?
- A lot of long-distance running, and have just started climbing. But above all, music is my thing. I'm in a rock band, as a singer and guitarist. We usually go out and play, mainly in the Gothenburg area.
