The startup Connyun was founded in 2016 as a subsidiary of KUKA based in Karlsruhe with the aim of establishing a cloud platform. As a provider of a Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution connyun develops software and services that enable customers to optimize their logistics and production processes.

Currently, connyun has 30 digital experts employed, mainly software architects, IoT engineers and data scientists. All of them will be transferred into Körber’s Business Area Körber Digital, but keep their workplaces in Karlsruhe. After the acquisition of connyun, Körber Digital, based in Berlin, will be led by a management team of two: Stefano Di Santo, who will remain CEO, and Dr. Stefan Kusterer, currently CTO of connyun GmbH, who has been appointed CTO of Körber Digital as of July 1, 2018.
