KUKA Robotics RUS now open for business |
 |
 | | | Robotics pioneer KUKA Roboter founds subsidiary in Moscow | | Moscow, June 2008 – KUKA Roboter, one of the world’s leading suppliers of industrial robots, is expanding its business into Russia. “KUKA Robotics RUS” is the name of the new subsidiary in Moscow. New markets, particularly in general industry, are opening up for the Augsburg-based company in the world’s largest country. The main impetus behind the founding of the new company in Russia was the desire expressed by international KUKA partners to have access to KUKA products and services here. For KUKA, customer proximity is an essential condition for successful collaboration in order to explore, together with the customer, what advantages and opportunities the use of robots could bring. |

| In the largest country in the world, KUKA Roboter is offering a wide range of applications, such as welding, bending, handling and many others, to automotive manufacturers, automotive suppliers and companies in general industry, e.g. in the metal, plastics and food industries and the logistics sector. As a technological leader, the company offers the ideal combination of innovative development know-how, experienced project management and customer-specific applications for small and medium-sized companies. | |

| Due to its strong economic growth, Russia is an important market for KUKA Roboter. Revenue from natural resources is being pumped into industrial modernization, for example. Consumers in Russia are increasingly demanding high-quality products, and these, in turn, necessitate processes meeting high quality standards. With the aid of robotic automation, these can also be implemented for domestic manufacture. This is good news for KUKA Roboter, which already has a strong presence in the Russian automotive industry and is now also making progress in general industry. The company commenced marketing and servicing activities there some while ago in order to continue expansion of its worldwide customer base and to increase its customer support presence within the country. For this reason, in addition to its high-quality products and flexible support services, KUKA Robotics RUS also offers training courses in the state-of-the-art KUKA training center. Furthermore, KUKA Roboter intends not only to consolidate existing system partnerships, but also to establish new ones. Moscow is a magnet for industry and business and offers KUKA Roboter the ideal infrastructure for success in the Russian market. All flight connections pass through the capital city where KUKA Roboter also has a cooperative venture with STANKIN University. Managing Director of KUKA Robotics RUS is Dimitry Pavlov, who previously managed Russian business contacts for KUKA Roboter GmbH from Germany. | |
